GOALS
Foster an environment that provides students with unique experiences in innovation, discovery, and entrepreneurship. Strengthen and support existing on-campus resources by developing an integrated complex called Innovation Grove, which will serve as the nucleus of activity that generates world-class educational opportunities for students and faculty, while providing services that support and expand the entrepreneurial ecosystem for external clients, the Rose-Hulman community, and beyond.
STRATEGIC ACTIONS
By December 2026, Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology will:
- Construct a new facility on the expanded campus property on the northeast corner of the intersection of IN-42 and IN-46 to serve as the anchor for Innovation Grove, allowing for the relocation of Rose-Hulman Ventures as well as physical and programmatic integration with the whole campus.
- Enhance the offerings available at the Branam and Kremer Innovation Centers (BIC and KIC), including creating a more robust structure supporting the Rose-Hulman competition teams, and increasing capacity of BIC and KIC training classes in response to student interest.
- Identify and select an individual responsible for coordinating activities related to innovation, discovery, and entrepreneurism.
- Formalize information-sharing related to innovation, discovery, and entrepreneurship to further engagement with students, employees, alumni, and external partners.
- Secure additional resources to allow faculty and staff to more easily pursue professional development activities focused on innovation, discovery, and entrepreneurship, including course and curriculum development, workshops, internal and external projects, and start-ups.
