Cirque Kalabanté Bringing African Music Rhythm to Hatfield Hall
The beauty and artistry of African culture will be featured in a spectacular Cirque Kalabanté performance on Sunday, February 2, at 7:30 p.m. at Hatfield Hall Theater. This show is part of the college’s Performing Arts Series.
Kalabante Production’s colorful show by Yamoussa Bangoura is inspired by daily life in Guinea and represents the strength, agility, and life's joys of young Africans. It goes beyond the country’s scenery, costumes, and staging as acrobats execute gravity-defying moves and human pyramids. The show will be accompanied by the contemporary sounds of live Afro-Jazz, percussion, and kora.
