Sophomore Part of Winning Team at Conexus Indiana Case Competition

Sophomore Zixin “Catalina” Fan represented Rose-Hulman on the winning team for the bachelor’s degree track at the 2019 Conexus Indiana Case Competition recently held in Indianapolis. Catalina used her skills and knowledge as a mechanical and electrical engineering double major to propel the team, which also included students from Earlham College, Indiana State and Valparaiso University, to a top finish. The group was awarded $5,000 for successfully solving a business case in just 24 hours using real-life decision-making and problem-solving skills.
More than 25 academic institutions were represented at the annual event. Dr. Craig Downing coordinated Rose-Hulman’s involvement, and the following students also participated in the competition:
