Lightwire Theater’s “A Very Electric Christmas” Lighting Up Rose-Hulman’s Hatfield Hall
Dancing poinsettias, mischievous mice and an evil Rat King are just a few of the fascinating creatures you’ll encounter in Lightwire Theater’s “A Very Electric Christmas” December 16 at Rose-Hulman’s Hatfield Hall.
This enchanting performance, animated by colorful neon-lighted characters and set to timeless holiday hits by Nat King Cole, Mariah Carey and Tchaikovsky, begins as Santa’s helpers are putting the last touches on presents and a small bird named Max is flying south for the winter. When a snow storm blows Max off course, he finds himself lost and alone at the North Pole where he meets Nutcracker soldiers, caroling mice and other intriguing oddities.
Audiences of all ages are sure to love this thrilling and heart-warming holiday tale and cheer for Max as he seeks to reunite with his family.
Called “absolutely incredible” by Rolling Stone magazine, Lightwire Theater’s unique blend of art, theater, dance and technology has enchanted audiences around the world for years. The troupe reached the semifinals of NBC’s America’s Got Talent and earned the top prize on Tru TV’s Fake Off.
Tickets for “A Very Electric Christmas” are $27 for adults or $17 for those under 18. VIP tickets are available for $50 that include seating in the first three rows, a private on-stage demonstration and Q&A session after the show.
