Dr. Sarah Forbes

My name is Dr. Sarah Forbes (she/her/hers) and I am the Student Academic Success Director as well as the Rose Prime Director and an RHIT100 instructor. In these roles, I help students discover college-level strategies for academic success. I grew up in central Illinois, earned a BA in Psychology, an MA in Experimental Psychology, and a PhD in Curriculum & Instruction. I love binge watching Friends and The Big Bang Theory, building Lego sets, kayaking, and eating at Chick-fil-A. I'm looking forward to meeting you and walking alongside you in your transition to college!

Dr. Leanne Holder

My name is Dr. Leanne Holder (she/her/hers) and I am a professor of mathematics at Rose-Hulman. Along with my 25+ years of experience teaching Calculus, I taught logic & set theory at a Waldorf school, led cyrptography lessons for elementary students, and helped create tutorial videos for Girls' Adventures in Mathematics.  I serve as both a local and state MATHCOUNTS coordinator for the state of Indiana.  In my spare time, I enjoy playing pickleball, reading sci-fi novels, completing jigsaw puzzles, paddleboarding with my dog, and finding creative ways to annoy my two children who are starting their second and fourth years of college.

Jared Kagay, Head Mentor

Hello! I'm Jared Kagay, a rising senior Computer Science student here at Rose. On campus, I am part of the InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, where I coordinate the worship band, as well as Computer Security Club and Floor Hockey Club. When I'm not doing homework, I love making music, working on nerdy CS side projects, and participating in floor intramurals. I am so beyond excited for Rose Prime this summer; my goal is to help students put the FUN in the First FUNdamental Theorem of Calculus (I promise it’s possible 😁)!

Cam Judson

My name is Camden Judson and I am a rising junior studying Chemical Engineering here at Rose. On campus, I am a member of our NCAA varsity baseball team, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Greek Life, and American Institute of Chemical Engineers. I am a native of Terre Haute, Indiana and I enjoy exercising, listening to country music, and spending time with my family at home outside of school and baseball. I am very excited to help assist our new students in making the transition to college life and learning new math concepts.

Summer Kite

Hi! I'm Summer Kite, a rising sophomore Mechanical Engineering major from Stanley, Virginia. I'm on the Cross-Country and Indoor/Outdoor Track & Field teams and I enjoy the 6k, 5k, and steeplechase! I'm also a part of Greek Life; I joined the Chi Omega Fraternity this past winter. In my free time, I love watching movies, reading, and spending time with my friends! I am so happy to be part of Rose Prime this year; I went through the program last year as an incoming freshman and it was an incredible experience that prepared me so well for Rose. My goal is to make Rose Prime as great for everyone as it was for me!

Elliott Rogers

Hi, I'm Elliott Rogers. I am a rising junior pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering at Rose-Hulman. I am involved with Rose Innovative Student Entrepreneurs (R.I.S.E) and Intramural Sports. Outside of Rose-Hulman, I am involved with my church and youth group. I enjoy playing basketball, throwing the frisbee, playing the guitar and drums, and working on projects. I am very excited to introduce students to the Rose-Hulman community and lifestyle through Rose Prime.

Lia Taylor

Hi! I'm Lia Taylor, a rising sophomore Computer Engineering student at Rose. On campus I am part of the Women's Tennis Team as well as Women of Like Fields Passionate About Computing (WOLFPAC). Outside of school, I love journaling, watching tv, and reading. I'm so excited for Rose Prime and can't wait to integrate as much fun into these weeks as possible!

Ethan Wilson

I'm Ethan Wilson and I'll be a junior Computer Science / Math double major at Rose. I helped start the Pickleball Club here and when I'm not doing that, I'm usually playing board games or playing piano. I'm very excited to help with Rose Prime and support incoming students with getting adjusted to the amazing life at Rose Hulman!
