Rose-Hulman Drama Club to Present Murder on the Orient Express Oct. 16-18
Monday, October 12, 2026
Rose Drama Club will present the fall play, "Murder on the Orient Express" Oct. 16 at 7:30 and Oct. 17-18 at 1:30 in Hatfield Hall.
Rose Drama Club will proudly present their first production of the academic year, "Murder on the Orient Express," October 16-18 as part of Rose-Hulman's Fall Family Weekend festivities. All performances will take place in Rose-Hulman's Hatfield Hall, beginning at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, October 16, and at 1:30 p.m. on both Saturday, October 17, and Sunday, October 18.
Just after midnight, a snowdrift stops the Orient Express in its tracks. The luxurious train is surprisingly full for the time of year, but by morning, it has one fewer passenger. An American tycoon lies dead in his compartment, stabbed eight times, his door locked from the inside. Isolated and with a killer in their midst, the passengers rely on detective Hercule Poirot to identify the murderer — in case he or she decides to strike again.
In this thrilling adaptation of Agatha Christie's classic mystery, the famous detective, Hercule Poirot, will be played by Eric Sparks. Dayne Meyers, Liam LaGroue, and David Fisher will play Monsieur Bouc, Colonel Arbuthnot, and Samuel Ratchett, respectively. The role of Helen Hubbard will be played by Hannah Ritchhart, Countess Andrenyi by Marisa Lehner, and Mary Debenham by Faith Zendzian. Additional cast members include Gabe Smith as Hector MacQueen, Julie Zendzian as Greta Ohlsson, and Wilson Becker as Michel/Waiter.
Tickets are on sale now for $15 per adult or $10 for youth under 18. Tickets can be purchased online at hatfieldhall.com, by calling 812-877-8544, or by visiting the Hatfield Hall ticket desk Tuesday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
