Senior Heath Doll Named 2025 Orr Fellow

Heath Doll is one of 74 seniors named a 2025 Orr Fellow and will spend two years working at Koch Enterprises in Evansville, Indiana.
Rose-Hulman senior Heath Doll earned recognition as a 2025 Orr Fellow, a two-year paid entrepreneurial fellowship beginning after Doll's graduation in May. Orr Fellowship is an early career development program for versatile high-achievers and future-focused businesses in Indianapolis and Evansville, Indiana.
Orr Fellowship recruits, assesses and matches university graduates with high-agency roles in growing Indiana businesses. Together, Orr Fellowship and partner companies give graduates the professional development resources and support network they need to accelerate their careers.
Doll is one of 74 college seniors from across the nation selected for this year's Orr Fellow cohort. Doll joins a network of 10 Rose-Hulman alumni who have completed the Orr Fellowship. The Sunman, Indiana, native is earning a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering and a concurrent master's degree in engineering management through the Rose Squared program.
"I've always been community-focused," Doll said. "The Orr Fellowship's values and community-minded approach caught my eye."
Doll is partnered with Koch Enterprises and will rotate through several of their subsidiary companies, including Audubon Metals. He is one of 13 students selected for the newly-established Evansville chapter of Orr Fellows. Previously, Orr Fellows were exclusively based in Indianapolis.
"As a founding Fellow in our first-ever Evansville chapter, Heath is helping to shape the future of the program in this region," said Steven Emch, president of Orr Fellowship. "His addition highlights the incredible talent and innovation emerging from Rose-Hulman, and we’re excited to see the unique contributions he will bring to the Fellowship and Indiana’s growing business community."
Doll is also eager about the prospect of starting a new chapter in Orr Fellowship history, saying, "There's a nervous excitement. I think it'll be a good opportunity to see how it works out, and hopefully it is a success.”
Doll applied for the Orr Fellowship at the recommendation of Rose-Hulman's Career Services. Since 2001, the Orr Fellowship has matched talented college graduates across several different industries with one of 60 innovative Indiana-based partner companies.
Among Orr Fellow alumni, 60% remain in Indiana after completing the program, compared to 43% of all Indiana institution graduates across comparable fields of study.
At Rose-Hulman, Doll is also a member of Phi Gamma Delta fraternity and just concluded his term as treasurer. He has served as a lab assistant in the Electrical & Computer Engineering Department, a course grader in the Chemical Engineering Department, and a Sophomore Advisor in Speed Hall. Doll is also a member of the Lilly Scholars Network and the American Institute of Chemical Engineers and has served on both the Bonfire Committee and the Rock Out for Rosie Committee.
Doll previously completed internships with Steel Dynamics and Honda Manufacturing, which prepared him for his new role at Koch Enterprises.
"The time at Rose has really helped me come out of my shell," Doll said. "It's helped me be the best engineer that I could be in the future. I probably wouldn't have gone for this opportunity without going to Rose and getting more confident."
