Rose-Hulman Graduates Achieve Record Salaries and Exceptional Placement Outcomes
Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology’s strong value, return on investment, and career opportunities were once again showcased by record starting salaries and excellent job/graduate school opportunities across the entire graduating Class of 2024.
With 100% of Rose-Hulman graduates reporting their post-graduation status, 407 of the 428 members of the Class of 2024 secured job placements, graduate school enrollments, or military service within six months, achieving an overall placement rate of 95%. This rate underscores Rose-Hulman’s commitment to transparency, as one of the few colleges nationally to calculate placement rates for the entire graduating class, not just survey respondents. Additionally, this year’s rate reflects a higher-than-usual number of graduates who opted not to seek immediate placement, with their choices included in the overall calculation.
The Class of 2024 achieved a record-high average starting salary of $82,817, with the highest accepted salary reaching $135,000. Career opportunities spanned 35 U.S. states, Australia, Canada, China, Korea, the Netherlands, and Saudi Arabia.
Key Highlights:

- Mechanical Engineering (99%) and Electrical Engineering (98%) also demonstrated exceptional placement outcomes.
- Top Salaries: Six majors—chemical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and software engineering—reported average starting salaries exceeding $100,000.
