Drama Club Presenting Winter Show This Weekend

“She Kills Monsters” will showcase Drama Club members’ acting skills in a production that’s an exciting and edgy tale of friendship, loss, and acceptance. It is full of supermodel elves, powerhouse warrior women, and nasty ogres.

“She Kills Monsters” is the Drama Club’s winter production, taking place this weekend at the Hatfield Hall Theater. Performances are Friday, January 24, at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, January 25, at 1:30 p.m., and Sunday, January 26. at 1:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 per show.

The play tells the story of Agnes Evans (played by Lila Ward), a young woman grieving for her deceased sister Tilly (Sarah Allen). The Evans sisters were never very close, but after Tilly’s death Agnes finds a notebook containing a game scenario created by her sister. She discovers that Tilly was a well-known Dungeons and Dragons player. To find out more about her mysterious young sister, Agnes recruits a "dungeon master" named Chuck (Keegan Martin) to help her play the game. 

Chock-full of supermodel elves, powerhouse warrior women, and nasty ogres, “She Kills Monsters” is an exciting and edgy tale of friendship, loss, and acceptance. 

However, director Trevor Hanson cautions that the show is intended for mature viewers. It contains adult situations and offensive language. Some scenes will include loud noises, flashing lights, and depictions of bullying. Viewer discretion is advised.

Other cast members include Mindy Altschul, Sofia Caston, Dustee Forster, Vanessa Hood, Hailey Huser, Lawson Jacks, Dayne Meyers, Mason Reynolds, Emmet Southfield, Eric Sparks, Ruby Stevens, Grace Trask, Riley Vallier, Faith Zendzian, and Wynne Zimmerman.
