Box and Pointer Diagrams — How to make and use them in C

Instructions for doing this tutorial:

1. Read the Discussion. Ask questions as needed.
2. Review the Summary and Example. Ask questions as needed.
3. Do the first practice problem, as follows:
   • Do Practice Problem 1.
   • AFTER doing Practice Problem 1, compare your answer to our solution:
     • First compare your Output per that problem to our Solution to Practice Problem 1: Output. If your answer is wrong, rework the problem if you can. Ask questions as needed.
     • Then compare your Box-and-Pointer Diagram per that problem to our Solution to Practice Problem 1: Box-and-Pointer Diagram. Ask questions as needed.
4. Do the second practice problem similarly, as follows:
   • Do Practice Problem 2.
   • AFTER doing Practice Problem 1, compare your answer to our solution:
     • First compare your Output per that problem to our Solution to Practice Problem 2: Output. If your answer is wrong, rework the problem if you can. Ask questions as needed.
     • Then compare your Box-and-Pointer Diagram per that problem to our Solution to Practice Problem 2: Box-and-Pointer Diagram. Ask questions as needed.
