Dr. Renee Rogge has involved dozens of students in a variety of groundbreaking research projects in her specialty areas of biomaterials, biomechanics and body modeling. A past Samuel F. Hulbert Faculty Chair in Biomedical Engineering, Dr. Rogge has worked with students during the summer on extended research projects in the Orthopeadic Biomedical Engineering Laboratory. She also has mentored senior-year biomedical engineering student teams that have earned national awards for workplace innovation and design and assisted National Science Foundation-sponsored student design projects to improve opportunities for people with disabilities. Her interest in teaching elements of the design process has included serving as co-chair for a national conference for engineering educators. Some of these efforts helped Dr. Rogge earn the Board of Trustees Outstanding Scholar Award and the Dean's Outstanding Teacher Award.
