Dr. Simon Jones specializes in vibrations and computational mechanics, with research interests in simulation of traffic-induced ground vibrations, finite element modeling of composites, and Wavelet-Galerkin methods in structural dynamics. He has industry experience working as a research engineer for C-FER Technologies and as a mechanical design engineer for General Dynamics Canada. Dr. Jones currently advises the Women’s Club Lacrosse team, and has previously been involved with the rifle team and climbing club. In his free time, he enjoys shotgun sports, woodworking, and bicycling. Check out his personal web page.
