Dr. Ben Jelen’s expertise is in human-computer interaction (HCI), especially around healthcare. He worked for Epic Systems, an electronic medical record company, before earning his PhD in Health Informatics from Indiana University. He combines his industry experience and research interests in the classroom through classes such as Software Requirements Engineering, where he teaches students to move beyond developing great technology, to helping people do great work with technology.
