Design and construct WDM channel balancers (variable attenuator). Transmission gratings in photorefractive crystals (PRC) are fixed to serve as channel balancers.  PRCs are configured with fixed multiple-gratings to provide a variable loss per channel for the 1320 nm beamformer prototype.
