• Give examples of irreversibilities that lead to entropy generation.
• Apply the Accounting of Entropy equation to both open and closed systems in or-der to calculate unknown
  • heat transfer and/or rates of heat transfer,
  • temperature(s),
  • changes system entropy and/or rates of change of system entropy,
  • system entropy and/or rates of system entropy generation, and
  • values of specific entropy
• Calculate changes in specific entropy for ideal gases with constant specific heats
• Calculate changes in specific entropy for incompressible substances with a constant specific heat
