Hotel Accommodations
The conference hotel is the
Quality Inn of Terre Haute.
The conference has reserved a block of 25 rooms for the night of Friday, April 22, 2016. Thanks to the gifts
from our generous sponsors, the conference is able to subsidize the cost of each room, bringing the
room rate down to $20 (taxes included)1. This price includes a full breakfast on Saturday morning.
These rooms are offered on a first come, first serve basis, and booking early is the best way to
ensure that you will receive the above rate.
By subsidizing room costs, our hope is to help alleviate lodging costs for more students
than in previous years. To this end, we ask that you consider the following:
- We ask that faculty make separate reservations and allow the subsidized rooms to be for students only.
- We ask that students consider sharing a room; just think, two students sharing a room brings the
cost to $10/student!
To Make Reservations:
You can reserve rooms by contacting the hotel manager directly. Send an email to
Yvonne Heiber (yhheiber.quality@gmail.com). Be
sure to mention that you are part of the Rose-Hulman Undergraduate Math Conference, and list the name(s)
of your roommate(s). Only one email request per room is required. If you need to make any changes or
cancellations, email Yvonne prior to April 24, 2016.
1: This room rate is for double-occupancy. Each room has two double beds. Additional
guests are $5/room. Therefore, if four students share one room, the total cost of the room is $30.
If you wish to stay nights other than April 22, 2016, then the conference is not responsible for these
costs, and you will need to pay for the additional nights. The actual cost of the room is $52.50 plus
taxes (a total of $59.59); the conference has agreed to subsidize this room by paying $39.59 toward
the room cost. Visitors are responsible for all other liabilities and incidental costs. You will
need to provide a credit card to secure the room at the time of check-in.
