Shoe Bench

I made this shoe bench from 15" wide hard maple, even the back. Wide boards are just stunning to me. However, it is tricky to process wide boards on a 12" planer. As such, I used a wide-belt sander. However, the wood ended up not completely flat, rather, it is somewhat wavy. After a brief analysis of my available time and an emerging sense of joie de vivre, I decided not to touch it up with my handplane.

The finish, as usual, are three coats of Watco wipe-on polyurethane.
