This was another fun project: I designed the chest myself. It was a bit of an engineering challenge. The chest is made from soft maple. To give it some heft, the carcass is not a frame a panel construction, rather, solid boards. To lighten the weight a bit, I had them sanded down to about 5/8" thickness. [more to come]
