I made this chest for my daughter; she loves to draw. It is made from Walnut and is designed to hold pens and pencils. The top, bottom and the bottom of the removable compartment are each made from a single piece of Walnut. The splines that add stability to the joints are maple. The hardware is made by Brusso. The box is finished using Sam Maloof's formulae and process.
