This was a fun project; it combines wookworking with blacksmithing. I made the shelf brackets a while ago and have been itching to find a use for them. When my wife asked me to make a kitchen shelf, they found a good use. The shelf consists of a maple frame and has four glass panes layed into it, so as to not block the light and create darkness. The frame is finished in several coats of Watco wipe-on poly.
