In this class, you will learn various techniques for exploiting and securing linux systems, networks, and web sites. The Computer Security Club leads exercises to expose you to various topics including Firewalls, SSH, passwords, web security, and more.
This class meets for one hour per week. It is offered as a three-part sequence beginning in the Fall and Winter quarters of each year. To enroll in Practical Security II (Winter), you must first complete Practical Security I (Fall). The time and location of the class will be posted on this web page before the term begins.

There are no prerequisites for the Fall Quarter (Practical Security I)! Anyone can join if they have basic computer operating skills. (Can you click and type?)
To join the Winter Quarter (Practical Security II), you must first complete Practical Security I.
