Crystal Lapping and Polishing

Learn and develop crystal cutting and polishing procedures using the available equipment.  Other groups working in the project  provide crystal cut specifications.  Some crystals are cut at varying angles so a jig is designed and constructed that  facilitates this operation.  The surface polish is evaluated with interferometric and scattering methods.
