Addenda/PAG Holdings
|
|
Company Description:
Metals and Additives Corporation is a leading producer of high performance additives and specialty chemicals. Wholly owned subsidiaries include Addenda Corporation, Polymer Additives Group, and OMNI Oxide Corporation.
Addenda Corporation, incorporated in 1999, originally produced products for the plastics industries. Expansion soon broadened the product portfolio to include a variety of performance and specialty additives for the battery, rubber, and pigment industries. A notable product is addiBatt Tetra (Tetrabasic Lead Sulfate) which has provided significant benefit to the battery industry through improved battery life and reduced manufacturing costs. These observed benefits of addiBatt Tetra in global markets have made Addenda Corp. a leader in performance battery additives. Current research is focused on development of additives for ultra-capacity and partial-state-of-charge batteries via nanotechnology, charge stabilization, and crystal augmentation. Recently Addenda expanded global operations and opened an office in Guangzhou, China.
Polymer Additives Group (PAG Holdings) is a producer of flame retardants and smoke suppressants for the plastics industries. PAG offers traditional halogenated products as well as a variety of inorganic metal complexes incorporating Sb, Sn, Mo, Mg, Zn, B, among others. In addition to being a global producer of high-demand products such as Charmax FR-APB (Ammonium Pentaborate), PAG has also developed highly effective products including Charmax FS-BZMA and Charmax FS-ZMT. These two molybdate complexes provide increased performance at lower usage than other alternatives, resulting in a lower customer cost. Currently, research is focused on development of intumescent flame retardants, char stabilizers, and "green" organic flame retardants.
OMNI Oxide produces high quality lead oxides and complexes for the battery, glass, and specialty pigment markets. With over 30 years of industry experience, OMNI Oxide is dedicated to providing a range of lead oxide products for standard and special applications.
Through diversified product options, Metals and Additives Corp. has delivered specialized chemical solutions to the battery, plastics, rubber, pigment, glass, and other industries. Novel production methods and research approaches create an exciting company environment.

Company Description:
BAA is engaged in system engineering or as we sometimes describe it - "information engineering". We help manufacturing companies bridge the growing gap that has arisen due to the lack of support of information systems used by the product development organization. Traditional IT departments fail to understand the increasing complexity of tools and processes used by engineering, manufacturing and related departments. Typical areas of support from BAA range from direct involvement in product technology to PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) support for the entire enterprise.
BAA plans our interactions with customers based on our perception of where data is driving them and their systems. The context we keep in mind is as described in Figure 1. Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) centers our thinking about the overall information model and comprehends the entire product lifecycle from concept to retirement. Within the PLM umbrella concept are several well-known business processes that include Product Data Management (PDM) which manages the CAD files in the Concept and Design & Development elements of the lifecycle; Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems which manage the development and delivery components of the overall system and includes Supply Chain Management (SCM); and finally, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) which focuses on the Service & Support and customer satisfaction business processes.
BAA understands how these components interrelate, but specializes in managing the Engineering information. Requirements Management (RM)is a critical step in the product management lifecycle. Without proper requirements, the resulting product may not be successful. There are many sources for product requirements that include government agencies, the customer's voice, market analysis, and internally generated product vision. In many cases, especially in the case of government regulation, there is significant interpretation and translation of the government requirement to that of the product. BAA understands the complexity of requirements gathering, translation to the internal engineering language, and documentation.
BAA has worked extensively with requirements and requirements management tools (IBM DOORS & Rational, Siemens Teamcenter, PTC Integrity) including experience with testing and management of test data. We treat test as a source of data and consumer of
requirements.
As an Alliance Partner with National Instruments, BAA provides expertise in the capture of test information and connecting that information to requirements. BAA understands that requirements (RM) drive product performance characteristics and testing provides the proof that the product meets the requirements. Traceability connects the standards to the product requirements to the test scenarios, and the capture of the test results connect back to those requirements. BAA provides tools and services to make the connection to standards.

Company Description:
Located by Lake Union in beautiful Seattle, Washington, the Omni Group is an employee-owned company dedicated to awesome software and gold-standard customer support. We develop applications exclusively for Mac, iPhone, and iPad. Omnis distinctive productivity applications have won three Macworld Editors Choice awards, a MacUser UK Maxine award, Macworld Expo Best of Show, two Mac Observer Editors Choice Awards, an iPhone Alley Editors Choice award, and five Apple Design awards.
We think that Omni is a different sort of company and that it shows in both our products and our service. There are a bunch of things that make Omni a special place:
We get to come to the office every day and work with a smart, talented, fun team that is passionate about creating great software.
It is always our priority to treat our customers with respect. That means writing software that we are proud of and then supporting it.
We also believe in treating each other with respect. To that end, Omni provides a fun and productive environment that allows us to put in our best work as well as encouraging a good work-life balance. We cultivate pride in our work. Great software makes happy employees and happy employees make great software.
While we acknowledge that making money is how we sustain our families and what allows us to continue making great software, we want to be a good company, not just a profitable company. That way we can feel good about the products we make, the way we treat people, and our contributions to the communities that support us.
From our roots as a consulting company in the early 90s, the Omni Group has enjoyed sustained growth. Our early focus on the NeXT platform allowed us to transition to Mac OS X and iOS. Weve enjoyed contributing to the success of those platforms and sharing in their phenomenal growth.
The Omni Group, like our software, is designed for the long haul. A quick growth, buy-out culture works for some start-ups, but doesnt fit our philosophy of long-term support for our customers.
Were privileged to be able to do the work we do in such a great environment and are looking for interested students to join us in our Seattle offices for the summer. We have two sorts of internships available and anticipate selecting three or more interns in total.

Company Description:
TinderBox is driving innovation and is emerging as a sales technology leader with a product focused on data-driven online sales documents and sales automation – providing visibility and value to sales-driven organizations with analytics and electronic efficiencies far beyond other solutions in the marketplace to date.
With early recognition for potential of success and high growth, TinderBox was selected as one of the first recipients of the Indiana Innovation Awards in 2011. Shortly thereafter, TinderBox was named IT Startup of the Year by TechPoint’s Mira Awards in 2012. TinderBox was honored to be one of 33 companies named an Indiana Company to Watch in 2013 and is continuing the momentum with inclusion on the 2014 list of Indiana’s Best Places to Work announced by the Indiana Chamber.
Every year, the team has grown exponentially and has seen support from investors to accelerate its business’ growth. The earliest round started with Indianapolis-based angel investors in 2010, then an oversubscribed round from investor groups, including Halo Capital Group, Gravity Ventures, and other angel investors in 2011. In 2012, TinderBox was the first non-Silicon Valley company to receive funding from West Coast-based online venture capital platform, FundersClub, totaling $250,000. The company later received $1.4 million in performance-based tax credits from the Indiana Economic Development Corporation to create up to 95 jobs by 2016.
Employee growth more than tripled from 2011 to 2012, nearly doubled again from 2012 to 2013, and has already seen growth of 150 percent in 2014. Plans to expand headquarters to a downtown Indianapolis office space on Monument Circle were announced and executed in 2013 to support the fast growth.
This year has built on that momentum with another 30 percent increase in employee count, expanding key partnerships (like an official ISV partnership with Salesforce.com), and game-changing product innovation, with the next generation of the TinderBox product released in July of 2014.
