Problem #1
A balanced three-phase Y-connected generator with positive sequence is connected with a balanced three-phase-connected load.
a) Calculate the three line currents IaA, IbB, and IcC.
b) Calculate the line voltages VAB, VBC, and VCA.
Need a hint?
Construct the a-phase equivalent circuit to find the line current. The b-phase current lags a-phase voltage by 120° and the c-phase current leads a-phase current by 120°. The load voltages can be calculated based on the line currents. For each phase, the magnitude of the line voltage is the load current multiplied by square root of 3 and the phase angle of line voltage is the load voltage angle plus 30°.
