Digitization
Digitization is the process of converting an analog input to a digital
representation. We find this process in many application areas: an
electronic throttle for a car, a CD recorder, artificial limbs and
even in cognitive science where people argue that the mind digitizes
information.
Assignment
- Create a new Java project and call it "Digitization".
- Write and test a piece of Java code which stores an value in a
variable of type long.
- Convert this input into 6 values of the following ranges:
- If the input is between 0 and 10: 1
- If the input is between 11 and 30: 2
- If the input is between 31 and 60: 3
- If the input is between 61 and 120: 4
- If the input is between 121 and 240: 5
- If the input is above 241: 6
- Output the values to the screen.
