Assessment Plan (how you earn your grade)

To compute your grade in the course:

1. Rule 1: To pass the course, you must:

   Complete (to the satisfaction of your instructor) EVERY assigned exercise and EVERY quiz.

   You may redo any exercise or quiz until it is satisfactory. See Can I submit assignments after they are due? above for details.

2. Rule 2: Assuming you succeed per Rule 1, calculate the weighted average of your scores on tests and your capstone team project, and then convert that weighted average to a letter grade:

   Category	Weight
   Tests (including a final exam)	60%
   Capstone team project	40%

   A:	90 and up
   B+:	85 to 90
   B:	80 to 85
   C+:	75 to 80
   C:	70 to 75
   D:	60 to 70
   F:	below 60

3. Rule 3: Additionally, you must have at least a C average on tests to earn a C or better in the course.
