Two-Channel Beamformer Simulation team

A commercial fiber-optic/photonics system simulator (PHOTOSS) will be used to investigate the performance of a two-channel 1320 nm and 1550 nm beamformers. Alternative architectures will be compared and the effects of tolerances in grating placement, component imperfections, connector losses and similar impairments will be assessed. Results of the simulations will be used to inform decisions as the physical systems are realized.
