The Forty-third Annual
Rose-Hulman High-school Mathematics Contest
2008
Students from Terre Haute South Vigo High School captured their tenth consecutive title at the 2008 Rose-Hulman High-school Mathematics Contest.
They are congratualted by Allen Broughton, chair of Rose-Hulman's Department of Mathematics.
Top Freshmen: The top male and female students in the freshmen class division were (front, from left)
Rebecca Chen or Park Tudor,
Lyndon Ji of Carmel,
and
Youkow Homma of Carmel.
Each recieved two mathematics
textbooks, from a fund established in memory of former
Vigo County teacher Sally Shonk.
Ji and Homma had perfect scores.
Presenting the awards are

Tom Langley, Rose-Hulman mathematics professor.
Top Sophomores: The top male and female finishers in the sophomore class division were
Richard Ni of Park Tudor,
Mihika Prbhu of West Lafayette,
and
Jeffrey Shen of Park Tudor.
Each recieved two mathematics
textbooks, in memory of former Cincinnati contest organizer
Mary Rhein.
Ni and Shen had perfect scores.

Top Juniors:
Sachin Shinde of Terre Haute South,
Curie Ahn of Iowa City West,
and
Tyler Chenhall of Iowa City West
tied for first place in the junior class with perfect scores.

Top Senior:
Pardha Ponugoti of Terre Haute South
earned first place in the senior class with a perfect score.

Top Junior Team: Iowa City West High School
captured first-place honors in the junior class division.

Park Tudor and
Terre Haute South Vigo tied for first in the sophomore class division.
