- Homework 1, due Monday September 23: Read Chapter 1, do problems 1.1, 1.6, 1.9, 1.14, 1.21,
1.26, 1.36, 1.41. We'll do the Matlab project in class on Friday 9/13/17---bring your laptop with Matlab installed!
- Homework 2, due Tuesday, 10/1: Read Chapter 2 (FFT section optional), do problems
2.2, 2.3, 2.5, 2.7, 2.14, 2.16, 2.17, 2.19.
- Homework 3, due Tuesday, October 15: Read Chapter 3, do problems 3.1, 3.2, 3.4,
3.5, 3.9, 3.12, 3.20. Also, turn in your work for the Chapter 3 project---you don't have to print every
detail or picture, just a summary of each question. We'll do the project in class on Tuesday October 8.
- Homework 4, due Tuesday, October 22: Read pages 139 to 156 of Chapter 4, do problems
4.2, 4.3, 4.7, 4.9, 4.11, 4.19, 4.23. Also, turn in the project for Chapter 4!
- Homework 5, due Tuesday, October 29: Read the rest of Chapter 4, and Chapter 5. Do problems
33, 35, 36, 37 in Chapter 4. Also do Chapter 5 problems 1, 4, 7. Also turn in the project for Chapter 5.
- Homework 6, due Thursday, 11/7/19: Read sections 7.1 to 7.6 in Chapter 7, and also the first few pages of section 7.7 (up to equations (7.34)/(7.35).)
Subsection 7.5.2 proves that the stuff we did in the bi-infinite case works in n dimensions with circular convolution, and the analysis is a bit tedious,
so skim it lightly. Do and turn in problems 7.1, 7.3, 7.6, 7.9, 7.11, 7.12, 7.17, 7.22. Also, turn in the project for Chapter 7.
- Homework 7, due Monday, 11/18/19: Read sections 9.1 to 9.4 in Chapter 9; you can skip the epsilon-delta proofs
around Theorems 9.1 and 9.2 if you haven't had reals. Do problems 9.1, 9.4, 9.8, 9.10, 9.14, 9.16. Also, turn in the project, but only do 9.6.1.
