Rose-Hulman Hosting STEM Fair on May 10th for Wabash Valley Youths
May 5, 2016
Learning About STEM: Rose-Hulman’s Explore Engineering program gives youths the opportunity to learn how elements of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics can create interesting projects.
Children of all ages can learn about the many wonders of science and engineering at a free Science Technology Engineering Mathematics (STEM) Fair at Rose-Hulman on May 10, from 6-8 p.m., organized by the institute’s Explore Engineering program.
The event will have a variety of exhibits by Rose-Hulman student organizations and academic departments throughout Moench Hall. These exhibits will give visitors an opportunity to explore how to extract DNA from fruit, see how airplanes fly, learn the shocking news about static electricity, and find out how a boat made out of concrete materials can float.
Visitors must check in from 5:30-7 p.m. at an information table in the lobby of Hadley Hall, located at the end of the campus’ main entranceway off U.S. 40/Wabash Avenue. Interested persons should register in advance by contacting Explore Engineering Program Advisor Jill Butcher at .
