A Delicious Way to Explore Engineering
October 12, 2016
Edible Engineering: The 2016-17 Explore Engineering program kicks off Oct. 25 with activities that include creating cars and towers from an assortment of edible products.
Third- through eighth-graders can explore their interests in engineering and science by participating in Rose-Hulman’s Explore Engineering program. The fun starts with an Edible Engineering contest on Tuesday, Oct. 25, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the college’s Sports and Recreation Center on campus.
Students will work in teams to design and create the fastest cars and tallest towers from an assortment of edible products. Teams will have the opportunity to race their cars and compare tower heights with other groups. Rose-Hulman students will be on hand to assist and offer encouragement.
Registration is free but advance registration is required before 5 p.m. Oct. 24 at www.rose-hulman.edu/offices-and-services/explore-engineering/registration.aspx or by contacting Chris Slocombe, assistant director of admissions.
Rose-Hulman’s Blue Key National Honor Society organizes Explore Engineering activities throughout each school year.
