Nationals and Regionals:
Every year, NSBE holds nationally and regionally professional development events for all chapters all across the country. These events host thousands of people, chapters and companies included, and support a range of activities such as professional workshops, a career fair, and awesome dance battles.
Soul Food Sunday:
During black history month, NSBE hosts a campus wide dinner we call Soul Food Sunday. We cater food from local black businesses and cook food ourselves, play games, and teach black history. This event brings in hundreds of students a year and is a popular event on campus.
Talent Show:
The NSBE talent show is a campus wide event hosted in the winter quarter in which students and faculty alike come together to watch our campus's talent. We have around 10 or so contestants each year, and we host the event for around 2 hours. All proceeds from this event are donated to a charity of our choice.
Every year NSBE looks for company sponsorship to support our events and development. We have a tiering system we follow, as well as a sponsor-a-member program.
Sponsor-a-member program:
If you would like to sponsor a specific member of our chapter to go to regionals or nationals, contact us and we can help you with that. This would involve paying for their registration, flight, lodging, or all three.

Sponsorship:
Provide a flavorful soul food dish for Soul Food Sunday. Support our 30-day-long Black History Month fundraising efforts. Sponsor a member's trip to our regional or national conferences. The member may also be invited to host an event with your organization on their experiences and the importance of sponsorship.
Multiple times a quarter NSBE is involved in community outreach that we either find ourselves or participate in with the Rose-Hulman community. Events that we like to participate in solely as a chapter is work with the surrounding schools and youth in our area, as well as NSBE junior chapters. We take pride in cultivating not only ourselves but the younger generations. Every year we strive to have more events and more participation and are always looking for opportunities to involve ourselves in our community.
One of NSBE's core values is professional development. Whether it be working on our academics or improving our professional portfolios, we hold many events and workshops.
Every year we involve our younger members in a mentorship program with the older members that they have similarities with, connecting them socially and having workshops and meetings. This program improves relation between students and helps younger students adapt to Rose-Hulman and professional life quicker.
We host a number of workshops and professional development meetings and webinars with alumni and companies. These workshops are an amazing learning and connecting opportunity.
